Inmiddels de kaartjes al ruim anderhalve week in huis. Maar helaas nog even geduld tot 21 augustus voor het concert. Toen ik las dat hij zou komen moest ik er gewoon heen, bedoel dit is misschien wel de laatste kans

Oooh ik wil ook!!! Zo jammer dat het duur is en we echt echt blut zijn. Maar dit is een van de weinige artiesten die we allebei steengoed vinden en als ik een live registratie van zn concert zie vind ik het steeds weer geweldig....
Over hallelujah, het gaat geloof ik ovok over de muzikale samenstelling (the fourth, the fifth, the minor fall, the major lift) van een psalm. Lijkt sowieso gebaseerd op een psalm- melodie (als je het ritme wegdenkt).
Ik vind famous blue raincoat ook heeeeeel mooi!

ik ook de 21e, nu al zin in.
wel jammer 26gelukkig, maar zijn idd super prijzig.
hier ook fan vanaf de eerste keer dat ik hem hoorde. leerde hem eigenlijk pas kennen nadat lisa lois hallelujah deed. En vond het origineel meteen tich keer mooier. En ben toen meteen in al zijn muziek gedoken. Kan echt uren luisteren en wegdromen bij zijn teksten.
En de live registratie van zijn concert is echt geweldig, de man heeft ook echt humor.

Is het verhaal ook niet, dat hij zich eigenlijk al had teruggetrokken en als monnik leefde, maar dat zijn manager al zijn geld op had gemaakt, en hij dus weer het podium op moest? Even zoeken. Ja:

Baldy monastery in the 1990s. Roshi appears as regular motif or addressee in Cohen's poetry, especially in the Book of Longing, and also took part in 1997 documentary about Cohen's monastery years, Leonard Cohen: Spring 1996. Cohen's 2001 album Ten New Songs is dedicated to Joshu Sasaki. [Hij is trouwens altijd joods gebleven].
