Soap Star Michelle Stafford Expecting.
Thanks to the help of a surrogate, The Young and the Restless star Michelle Stafford is expecting her first child this December.
Stafford, 43, who has won two Emmys for her role as scheming Phyllis Summers on the CBS daytime drama, tells PEOPLE that she relied on a surrogate after struggling through fertility treatments and surgeries.
"After a three-year journey through hell, I'm elated, ecstatic and feel ultimately lucky to be able to announce I'm expecting my own child via surrogate in December," Stafford says in a statement.
She also confirms that she's expecting a girl.

During a humorous appearance last week on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, actor Jason Bateman spoke of a recent errand run with Francesca ‘Frannie’ Nora, 2 ½, gone horribly awry. It's Official: Chris Robinson Expecting Baby No. 2!

Frontman for The Black Crowes, Chris Robinson, 42, and girlfriend Allison Bridges have confirmed to PEOPLE that they are indeed expecting! Their new addition is expected in early 2010.
Recently Allison's baby bump was spotted as the couple walked hand in hand in New York City.
This will be baby no. 2 for Chris, who has a 5-year-old son, Ryder, from his marriage to Kate Hudson.

"In the middle of night, the very early hours of September 9, 2009, Sparrow James Midnight Madden was born to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. He weighs 7 lbs. 14 oz.
Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all doing well.
Thank you for all of your good wishes," the couple wrote on Richie's Web site.
The newborn joins older sister Harlow Winter Kate Madden, born in January 2008.
