AMSTERDAM - Martin van der Starre is vader geworden van een dochter. Dat heeft de musicalacteur bevestigd aan De Telegraaf. Het meisje kreeg de naam Lily Cato van der Starre. Moeder en kind maken het goed.
© ANPDe 40-jarige Van der Starre en zijn vriendin Roos maakten in september bekend in dat ze hun eerste kindje verwachtten.
"Vanmorgen om 07.15 uur is het mooiste meisje ter wereld geboren", laten ze vrijdag aan de krant weten. "Alles zit erop en eraan en de bevalling verliep voorspoedig." Zijn management kon de geboorte nog niet bevestigen.
De acteur keert 24 februari officieel terug in de musical We Will Rock You. Hij moest vijf maanden geleden afhaken, omdat hij vlak voor de première zijn achillespees scheurde tijdens de repetities.

De familie Kazàn kan alvast beschuit met blauwe muisjes inslaan, want Renzo en Mara verwachten een jongetje.
Mara is momenteel vijf maanden zwanger. Op 27 mei is ze uitgerekend, meldt Shownieuws. Tijdens haar zwangerschapsverlof zal Lara, de zus van Oscar en Renzo, optreden met Magic Unlimited. Eerder liet Oscar weten: "Mara wil geen carrière in het goochelen. Maar ze vindt het super als ze af en toe mag invallen."
Mara en Renzo hebben al een zoontje: Kian (1). In mei zijn de twee getrouwd.

Facebook Twitter E-mail Holding newborn daughter Sadie Grace in the hospital on Jan. 27, Christina Applegate was overwhelmed by her feelings of acceptance and love.
"I felt my heart literally open up for the first time and like wrap itself around her. It was profound," Applegate, 39, tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story. "And I'm more in love with her every minute of the day."
Back home in the L.A. house she shares with musician fiancé Martyn LeNoble, 41, Applegate has been relishing motherhood. "I want to be the ultimate burper and diaper-changer, I want to be the ultimate at all of it," she says.
"Sometimes I stand there going, 'I'm not doing any of this right!' And then I get this big man belch out of her and I go, 'Ah, we accomplished this together.' "
It's those little moments that now mean the most to Applegate, who opted for a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008.
"I've had to talk about that word [cancer] more than I've ever had to talk about a word in my life," she says. "After a while you're like, 'There's got to be something else to me.' "
Daughter Sadie has now given Applegate a new word to focus on: Mom.
"Yeah, now I'm Mom. She's healed me in so many ways," says the actress. "She's just made my life so much better. She's opened my whole soul."

On Monday morning, Buddy Valastro was ready to accompany his then-pregnant wife Lisa to one of her last doctor’s appointments, but at the last minute, she told him not to come.
“She says, ‘If you go it’s going to be nothing! If anything happens, I’ll call you,’ ” he recalls. “I get to the Lincoln Tunnel and she calls me and she’s like, ‘It’s time.’ We did a U-turn, went right home and went to the hospital. We got here at 10 o’clock [in the morning] and at 5:11 p.m. she gave birth. It was pretty perfect.”
So was the ‘lovely’ timing. “What a perfect Valentine’s Day gift,” he says. “What kind of a Valentine’s Day gift do you and [your] wife want [more] than a new baby?”
Tuesday, Valastro was on cloud nine, snuggling with his newborn son, Carlo Salvatore, and introducing the baby to his two older brothers, Buddy, Jr. and Marco, and older sister Sofia.
“I said, ‘Carlo, welcome to the jungle,’ ” Valastro laughs. “My oldest, Sofia, is really, really gentle and wants to help, [but] the boys are going to make him rough at a young age!”
“They don’t want to let him go,” he continues. “They want to hold him and kiss him and hug him.”
The baby, whom Valastro and his wife named in honor of their family bakery, Carlo’s, and for former colleague Sal Picinich, who died of cancer two weeks ago, should be coming home soon. And Valastro is even taking a rare vacation to spend time at home with his ever-expanding family.
“I just feel so blessed and so happy,” he gushes. “I came from a big family of five so I believe in having a lot of children and I think it’s really nice, especially when a family grows up tight and together like me and my family did. I’m carrying those values on to my kids.”
So will there be another Valastro baby joining the clan in a few years? Not so fast, he chuckles. “Like we say in the bakery, the kitchen’s closed!”
