Stranger does not rhyme with anger,

Query does not rhyme with very,
Nor does fury sound like bury.

Refer does not rhyme with deafer.
Foeffer does, and zephyr, heifer.
Mint, pint, senate and sedate;

Rachel, ache, moustache, eleven.
We say hallowed, but allowed,

Housewife, verdict and indict.

Finally, which rhymes with enough --
Though, through, plough, or dough, or cough?
Hiccough has the sound of cup.
My advice is to give up!!!

Ik vond deze tongbreker altijd leuk. Als het je eenmaal lukt vergeet je hem nooit meer.

Cateau, als je de herkomst van iets zoekt, heel eenvoudig en snel: eerste paar regels selecteren, kopiëren, plakken in een nieuw zoekvenster, (in google, of welke browser je dan ook gebruikt), enter, en voilà.

Ik kende alleen de eerste regels, dit is een nog langere versie dan in de OP.
Is dit de oorspronkelijke versie?
