Malaysian Airlines said there had been no indications that passengers on the missing flight have used mobile phones since the plane went missing.
Asked about the issue during the press conference chief executive Ahmad Jauhari Yahya said: “So far we have not had any evidence from telephone companies of any number that is trying to [make] contact. But we are still checking the records.”

De kans dat je uberhaupt verbinding zou kunnen krijgen terwijl je vliegt (buiten bereik van radars en zendmasten) is natuurlijk nihil. En als het toestel is gekaapt zullen de inflightsets ook wel zijn afgesloten dus men kan dan z'n toestel niet meer opladen en smartphones zijn binnen 24 uur echt wel leeg.

Dat ze de verdenking nu toch weer op die gezagvoerder hebben liggen snap ik niet zo goed. Ze hebben als argument dat ie tegen de regering is en ik meen me iets te herinneren over dat hij er tegen was dat 'n homo gevangen was gezet (of was ie daar juist voor?) Maar als ie tegen homo-straffen is dan ga je toch niet 'n vliegtuig ontvoeren naar Taliban-area?
