Ik heb nu alleen nog het stukje van die Payne gelezen en de 'gestures' die hij maakte. Maar wie zegt dat het op het gesprek sloeg (wat over Maddie ging)? Was hij daar alleen? Of kon het ook een toespeling zijn naar zijn partner dat hij er 'wel zin in had' die avond ofzo?

Madeleine McCann is two and a half years old and the twins just a few
months when they go on holiday to Majorca with their parents. Three
couples and their children go with them: David and Fiona Payne with their
one-year-old daughter (Fiona is pregnant with their second child); S. and
T., with their two children aged 1 and 3; lastly, S.G. and K.G., who have a
one and a half year old daughter, E. (K.G., is also expecting a child). The
trip was organised by David Payne. The latter rented a villa big enough to
accommodate all of them.
S.G. got to know Madeleine's mother at university in Dundee, between
1987 and 1992. K.G. met Gerry McCann for the first time at his wedding
to Kate in 1998. They become good friends, see each other regularly,
spend weekends together and phone each other often.
After dinner on the third or fourth evening in Majorca, the friends are all
settled on the patio. They are having a drink and chatting when K.G.
witnesses a scene which flabbergasts her and makes her fear for the
safety of her daughter and the other children. She is sitting between
Gerry McCann and David Payne when she hears the latter ask if she -
probably Madeleine - did "that": he then puts a finger in his mouth and
begins sucking it while putting it in and out - the sexual connotation is
obvious - while with the other hand, he traces small circles around his
nipple in an explicitly provocative way.
While K.G., stupefied, regards Gerry and David, an uneasy silences settles
around the table. Then they all start chatting again as if it was nothing.
K.G. starts to distrust the way David Payne relates to the little ones.
On another occasion, she sees David Payne making the same gestures
while speaking about his own daughter. At this time, it's the fathers who
give the children their baths, but K.G. no longer lets Payne near her
daughter.
After the holiday, K.G. will only meet the Paynes on one occasion, and
she will not speak to them. Over the next two years, relations between
K.G., S.G. and the McCanns becomes distanced; they will only see each
other now at children's birthday parties.
This witness statement from the couple, S.G. and K.G., is taken by the
English police on May 16th, thirteen days after Madeleine's
disappearance.
That information, very important for the progress of the investigation,
was never sent to the Portuguese police. When the Portuguese
investigators learn about similar events that allegedly took place during a
holiday in Greece - without, however, obtaining reliable witness
statements -, they tell the English police, who, even at this point, refrain
from revealing what they know on the subject.
It will only be after my removal from the investigation, in October 2007,
that this statement will finally be sent to the Portuguese police. Why did
the British keep it secret for more than six months? It is all the more
surprising that David Payne, who had planned the trip to Majorca - of
whom it was known that his behaviour towards the children was, to say
the least, questionable -, is the same person who organised the holiday to
Portugal, that he is one of those closest to Madeleine and that he is the
first friend of the family to have been seen with Kate McCann just after
the disappearance (we will talk further about this). He was still present in
Vila da Luz when the English police received that witness statement: why
wasn't he interviewed immediately?
Without doubt, the Portuguese police could have made progress with the
investigation thanks to that lead: such behaviour would merit close
attention. Were we looking in the right direction?
Might we have established a link with the events of May 3rd? It is difficult
to seriously doubt these witnesses.

Maar zijn dat foto's van die avond? Of later genomen om iets inzichtelijk te maken? Ik dacht namelijk dat het nogal een bende was in die kamer, met kleding overal. Lijkt me redelijk onlogisch als het daar zo opgeruimd zou zijn. Je gooit volgens mij alles overhoop als je kind niet in haar bed ligt... (dat nog ter zijde van dat er meerdere kinderen in de kamer sliepen, die ruimen nou niet bepaald alles achter hun kont op lol weet ik uit ervaring)

Maar het is toch wel heel onwaarschijnlijk dat die David Payne iets flikt op zo'n vakantie, en er dan in slaagt om het kind zo goed als te laten verdwijnen 'in thin air'? Ik bedoel HOE dan?! Buiten het feit dat het gewoon heel riskant is, als pedo zijnde, om op dat moment toe te slaan, bij kinderen van je vrienden... ik kan me niet voorstellen dat iemand zoveel risico neemt.

Ik ben het met je eens dat je vaak alles laat lopen vlak nadat je doodgaat. Maar het rottingsproces begint toch niet al gelijk neem ik aan? Lijkt mij dat het wel een uurtje duurt voor dat er cadaverine bv wordt uitgescheiden? Of is dat niet waar? Dacht ergens gelezen te hebben dat dat rottingsproces pas na 1,5 tot 2 uur begint maar kan het niet meer terugvinden;(LunchLover schreef: ↑20-03-2019 18:50Zo goed kun je echt niet schoonmaken, ik zal niet in details gaan, maar er lekt van alles uit je lichaam zodra je dood bent. Dat legde volgens mij de politie uit, dat er heel veel mensen in het appartement waren geweest en dat alles overhoop gegooid was. Wat daar de logica van is snap ik ook niet. Sowieso dom als je aan de ontvoering denkt dat je het appartement dan niet gelijk vergrendeld met oog op het onderzoek.
Waar het verhaal vandaan komt dat er schoongemaakt is weet ik ook niet? Alleen dat het volgens de politie echt een zooi was.

Die kinderen waren pas 1,5 dus dat zal vast meevallen denk ik. En dat je onder het bed kijkt en in de kast, oké. TJa dat stel ik me zo voor. Als ik iets kwijt ben kijk ik ook gerust onder kleding (ook-al kan het daar qua grote eigenlijk al niet liggen) en kijk ik met mijn duffe hoofd ook gewoon 4x in dezelfde la. Best dom, maar volgens mij doet iedereen dat. Daar heb ik ooit iets wetenschappelijks over gelezen, dat het best raar is dat mensen dat doen omdat je een andere uitkomst verwacht van precies hetzelfde (namelijk de la waar het 3 minuten eerder ook al niet in lag).
Dat ze errrrg onzorgvuldig zijn omgesprongen met sporen was al bekend. Veel mensen nemen ze dat kwalijk, maar ik kan niet beweren dat ik niet precies hetzelfde zou doen. En totaal niet zou denken aan het veilig stellen van iets. Je bent volgens mij in blinde paniek op zo'n moment. Ik had het vreemder gevonden als ze niemand hadden willen laten kijken in die kamer en hadden gezegd 'dit is een crime scene mensen, blijf hier uit'. Wie is er nou zo rationeel na zoiets?

Wanneer je cadaverine begint 'uit te scheiden' weet ik niet. Dat moet vast te googlen zijn denk ik zo

Dat is wanneer je lichaam stijf word, dat gebeurd later (uren?) idd, maar dat staat los van wanneer je stoffen begint lekken als cadaverine. Ik ben te lui om het te googlen lol.

Ik kan er met mijn verstand echt niet bij dat het kind kan zijn overleden in dat appartement met amper tot geen bewijzen hiervoor. Ook al liep half PdL rond in dat appartement, dat had moeten kunnen worden bewezen.
De perfecte moord (of per ongeluk dood) bestaat niet, al helemaal niet zo ad-hoc als sommige beweren.

Ik heb ooit gehoord dat dat proces pas optreed na rigormortis. In die temperaturen sliep en slaapt mijn zoon ook boven de lakens. Met drie jaar tikte mijn zoon de 15 kg nog niet aan dus zelfs woelen zou het bed niet verstoren.
Ik zou ook de hele kamer overhoop hebben getrokken. Ik heb mijn zoon als peuter ook vaak genoeg teruggevonden in zijn kledingkast. Hij paste met drie jaar zelfs nog op een plank in zijn boekenkast. Mijn neefje heb ik eens teruggevonden tussen lattenbodem en matras, ook al zo’n mager scharminkeltje waardoor je zo op het oog niets vreemds zag aan het bed.
Mijn eerste reactie zou dus ook resulteren in een complete demontage van een vakantiehuis. Intussen krijsen naar mensen om zoon te zoeken (zorgen dat er veel mensen gaan zoeken bij drukke wegen en water). Als ik iemand in paniek zie zoeken naar een kind dan ga ik ook gelijk posten bij de deuren (in een winkel) om te voorkomen dat ze verder weg kunnen raken/parkeerplaats of weg op gaan, of scan gelijk water in de buurt (slootjes, vijver, zwembad).

In a study published last year, the forensic pathologist Lars Oesterhelweg, then at the University of Bern in Switzerland, and colleagues tested the ability of three Hamburg State Police cadaver dogs to pick out – of a line-up of six new carpet squares – the one that had been exposed for no more than 10 minutes to a recently deceased person.
Several squares had been placed beneath a clothed corpse within three hours of death, when some organs and many cells of the human body are still functioning. Over the next month, the dogs did hundreds of trials in which they signalled the contaminated square with 98 per cent accuracy, falling to 94 per cent when the square had been in contact with the corpse for only two minutes. The research concluded that cadaver dogs were an "outstanding tool" for crime-scene investigation.
